About Scatter Practice:
Maya McGlynn and Ross Myren founded Scatter Practice with the shared belief that their relationship to the built environment and those who inhabit it is a sensitive one. Through their design research, seemingly disparate or scattered works reveal and question enmeshed networks of material flows, systems of care, and special hyper-local conditions to create small-scale projects with the potential for broader social impact.

This practice is ever-evolving; fascinated by the making of physical objects and social environments in which design is accessible to all.

Maya and Ross both hold Master of Architecture degrees from Parsons School of Design, where they also received their BFAs in Architectural Design.

They are currently Adjunct Professors at Parsons where they teach undergraduate Architectural Representation and Analysis, Space and Materiality in the First-Year Program, and the Design/Build: Urban Public Space "Street Seats" project.

They previously taught at the New Jersey School of Architecture where they led their own Design-Build studios.
